            Structure

Taree Indigenous Development and Employment Ltd (TIDE) was incorporated in 2008 by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) as a Company Limited by Guarantee. During 2008-2009 TIDE provided the Community Development Employment Program (CDEP). With the closure of the CDEP (apart from in remote areas) in June 2009 TIDE successfully tendered to provide a range of other programs.

Under the TIDE Constitution there are seven Members, the majority of whom must be Aboriginal Australians. The Members elect the Directors. There are currently three Directors. Tide is a registered Charity and a tax deductible Gift Recipient. TIDE has an internal Aboriginal employment strategy which requires at least 40% of TIDE staff to be Aboriginal. The strategy also provides for training and skills development for Aboriginal Staff.
