Job Services Australia (JSA)
TIDE is contracted by the Department of Employment Education and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) to provide Job Services Australia for the period 2009 - 2012. TIDE receives a range of payments from DEEWR from providing Indigenous Specialist JSA to approximately 180 job seekers both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal who have been referred to through Centrelink. TIDE provides JSA services across the Manning Employment Service Area (ESA) in Taree (full time) Forster (three days per week) and an outreach service to Karuah and Gloucester.
TIDE receives services fees for clients whilst they are engaged with TIDE. TIDE also receives a range of fees for successfully placing job seekers into various employment and training outcomes.
The role of the JSA Consultants is to manage the TIDE JSA caseload using the DEEWR IT system known as the Employment Service System (ESS). The Consultants are required to identify the employment, work experience and training objectives of their clients and work closely with the IEP Field Officer who will arrange employment and training placements for Aboriginal job seekers. The Consultants are expected to identify employment, work experience and training for their non-Aboriginal clients.
