TIDE is being funded by Working on Country to support the employment of seven Aboriginal people in the Green Teams. The teams were established under the CDEP to undertake natural resource management (NRM) projects for a range of clients including Local Councils, Catchment Management authorities, Mid North Coast Weeds Advisory Committee, NPWS, Landcare and Coastcare groups, private landholders and industry.

TIDE currently provides employment for two Green Teams; one at Taree (one supervisor and three team members) and the other at Karuah (one supervisor and three team members). TIDE anticipates providing further employment for Green Teams at Forster and Gloucester.
